Teacher Training
The Lepsiushaus Potsdam regularly offers teacher training programmes, recognized by the State of Brandenburg and the City of Berlin. A collection of teaching materials and a methodological commentary covering Ottoman history, the Armenian genocide, and Johannes Lepsius have been specially prepared for these trainings.
Genocide Education Programmes
For schools and other educational providers, the Lepsiushaus Potsdam offers guided tours of the permanent exhibition on the life and legacy of Johannes Lepsius. Modules on specific topic areas can also be booked, ranging from an exhibition tour focused on Johannes Lepsius and the Armenian genocide, to the methodology of historical archival research, to comparative genocide research. EU Project: “Ideas and their Consequences: Genocide and International Justice after 1919”
In cooperation with the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU Europe), the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS), and the Roma NGO Phiren Amenca, and funded via the European Union’s Europe for Citizens programme, numerous events took place in 2021.
