On January 1, 2024, all state institutions of the internationally unrecognized Autonomous Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh were dissolved. Following the surrender as a result of the military conflict with Azerbaijan last year, over 100,000 Armenians have left the country. Cultural monuments that testify to the millennia-long cultural history of the local Armenians have also remained. In a congress held in 2022, German-speaking and Armenian scientists dealt with these cultural monuments on an interdisciplinary basis. We would like to present these results to you as part of a book presentation and then discuss political developments in the region.
Participation is possible in person and via Zoom.
